Synthesis of daunorubicin piperonal derivatives by one-step reductive amination

Abstract

Using aromatic aldehydes new daunorubicin N-derivatives was obtained by one-step reductive amination, which have a high cytotoxic effect.
Key words: anthracycline antibiotics, daunorubicin, reductive amination, aromatic aldehydes, antitumor agents.
