The interaction of anionic liposomes with cationic pyridylphenylene dendrimers

Abstract

Complexes of cationic pyridylphenylene dendrimers with solid and liquid anionic liposomes were obtained. Adsorption of a dendrimer on the surface of liposomes is accompanied by neutralization of their surface charge and an increase in particle size. When interacting with liquid liposomes, the dendrimer does not induce the transition of molecules of a negatively charged lipid from the internal to the external monolayer (flip-flop). In the complex, there are about 80 dendrimer molecules per liposome.
