Identification and determination of chloramphenicol in drugs by multisensory digital colorimetry

Abstract

An effective, available and express method for the analysis of drugs based on chloramphenicol by the multisensory digital colorimetry method was developed. The use of a two-dimensional code for identification and determination of chloramphenicol with a minimum level of information noise was proposed. To improve the reliability of the results of the determination of the medicinal substance principal component analysis was applied. The adequacy of the developed approach was confirmed by the analysis of chloramphenicol drugs in the form of two dosage forms – tablets and eye drops. The accuracy of the results obtained is confirmed by the “spike recovery test”. It is shown that the results obtained do not have statistically significant differences from the values stated by the manufacturer.
Key words: chloramphenicol, molecular sensor, digital colorimetry, drug.
