The possibilities of artificial receptors to enhance the selectivity of oxydoreductase substrates determination

Abstract

Prospects of the application of molecular recognition with artificial receptors (macrocyclic compounds and molecularly imprinted polymers) for the creation of sensors for the determination of biologically active compounds – oxydoreductase substrates in samples with complex matrices are discussed in this review. Data on the preparation, properties and analytical application of complexes of the mentioned artificial receptors with analytes – organic compounds of different classes, are systematized for the first time. Special attention is paid to the discussion of approaches which provide the receptor specificity towards analytes due to molecular recognition.
Key words: oxydoreductase substrates, molecularly imprinted polymers, macrocyclic compounds, molecular recognition.
