The Standard Enthalpy of Formation of Fluorinated Graphite CF0.96

Abstract

The energy of combustion, DcU0, of fluorinated graphite CF0.96 was determined using an isoperibolic rotating-bomb calorimeter. The enthalpy of formation, DfH0(CF0.96), was derived. Using the last value, the dissociation enthalpy of the C-F bond was calculated and compared with the similar values for fullerene fluorides, investigated previously.
Key words: enthalpy of combustion, enthalpy of formation, fluorinated graphite.
