Combination of Two Chromatographic Methods for Use in the Investigation of Officinal Herbs Chemical Composition

Abstract

Two chromatographic methods- gas-liquid chromatography with mass-selective detector and ion- exclusion chromatography offers for the standartisation of the raw plant material and herb mixtures. Valeriana officinalis and Achillea millefolium describes as patterns for chemical markers search. Isovaleric acid is the chemical marker for the first herb plant and some chemical markers for the second. Chromatographic conditions for the ascorbic acid ion- exclusion determination describes.
