X-ray fluorescence and atomic-emission determination of cobalt in water with use of polyurethane foam sorbents

Abstract

Conditions of analytical signal formation during of direct X-ray fluorescence and arc atomic-emission determination of metals with use of polyurethane foam sorbents were studied. Sorption-spectroscopic techniques of cobalt determination in water with preconcentration in the form of thiocyanate complexes on polyurethane foam sorbents on the basis of ethers were developed. The linear range of calibration was 2 orders. During cobalt concentration from 25 ml water in static mode lower bound of contents being determined was 3 and 9 mg/l for X-ray fluorescence and atomic-emission methods, accordingly.
