The Tritium Label as the Unique Instrument for Studying the Behavior of Humic Substances in Natural Systems
Abstract
Humic
substances of different origin were labeled with tritium by means of thermal
activation technique. High specific activity and radiochemical purity of
labeled materials allowed direct estimation hydrophobicity and surface activity
of humic substances as well as studying their behavior of in biological systems
such as bacteria and higher plants.
