Sorption preconcentration of copper, lead and iron on carriers modified with 8-hydroxyquinoline and its derivativeS

Abstract

Sorption of copper, lead and iron on several carriers (Silochrom C - 120, Anionexchanger AV-17, Enterosgel, Polysorb) non-covalently bound with 8-hydroxyquinoline, 5,7-dibrom-8-hydroxyquinoline and 8-hydroxyquinolin-5-sulfoacid was investigated. Optimum conditions of sorption were found. The analysis is unaffected by 103-fold excesses of K, Na, Ca and Mg. The proposed techniques were applied to samples of water and soil taken at the city of Saransk. Correctness of analysis was proved by method of spikes. Reproducibility of analysis is not more than 0.08 (n = 5).
