Catalytic detection of nitrite-ion in ion chromatography

Abstract

Possibility of catalytic detection of nitrite–ion after ion chromatographic separation was studied. The indicator catalytic reactions for determination of nitrite–ion was investigated in static and flow conditions. Bromopyrogallol red was suggested as a new reagent for catalytic determanation of nitrite–ion. It was shown, that ion chromatographic separation and catalytic detection allows determinating of nitrite–ion on level of sub–least tolerable concentration in different water samples.
