Chromatographic separation of constitutional M.I. isomers of octasubstituted phthalocyaninatocopper (II)

Abstract

The chromatographic behaviour of tetra-4-nitro-tetra-5-phenoxyphthalocyaninatocopper is studied under the conditions of normal-phase and reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). It is demonstrated that this compound and the series of the similar octasubstituted phthalocyanines contain the constitutional isomers for which separation is the most suitable the hexane - toluene (20:80) - Silasorb 600 (150x3,9-mm column) system. The chromatographic properties of copper (II) complexes with tetra-4-nitro-tetra-5-phenoxyphthalocyanine and tetra-4-tert-butylphthalocyanine are compared.
