Monomolecular Layers of Proteins and Perspectives of Nanomaterial Construction Based on Them

Abstract

Authors sow the aim of this manuscript in a discussion of a studies promising for protein monolayers for nanotechnology needs. In the first part results of selfassembly studies of globular proteins and usefulness of monolayer technique to design controlled protein nanomaterials are discussed. In the second part the current experimental data for the fibrous protein are considered characterizing properties of the collagen molayers. These systems are poorly investigated, despite of large potential possibilities for practical uses of nanomaterials based on collagens.
