Nanocomposite Metal-Containing Polymer Films: Sensory, Catalytic, and Electrophysical Properties

Abstract

Structure, physical-chemical, sensor and catalytic properties of metal-polymer films are observed. The films were produced by low temperature cocondensation of metal vapor with a monomer on support followed by low temperature solid state polymerization of the cocondensate. Depending on metal and monomer structure this procedure yields metal-polimer composites of different types: metal-organic polymers with atoms or clusters within polymer chain, metal-polymer complexes or metal particles of different size immobilized in polymer matrix. Relation between film properties and their structure is discussed.
