Auto-Oscillation in the System Ascorbic Acid-Dihydroascorbic Acid in the Presence of Hydroxygenated Complexes of Iron (II)

Abstract

The results of investigation of chemical oscillation processes realized during oxidation of ascorbic acid in the presence of oxygenating complexes of iron (II) in the homogeneous phase are given. The limits of reagent and catalyzator concentrations, pH and temperature for observations of chemical oscillations are determined. On the ground of Fourier - transformations and reconstructions of dynamics according to the temporary sequence of data the frequencies of oscillations along with the measurement of phase space and attractor are defined. The possible mechanism of passing of processes is offered and the mathematical model describing kinetics is made up. The thermodynamic analysis of process is done, on the ground of which the reasons for manifesting chemical instabilities are revealed. The quantitative analysis of the system of differential equations is done, describing the kinetics of reasons and their numerical solution is received. The character of the stationary state and possible bifurcation are defined. It was revealed that mathematical model semiquantitatively describes the proceeding processes in the system.
